We offer them a platform to tell their stories, and with your engagement, we offer them a chance to finally be heard.

Portrait of a Prisoner reaches out to inmates all across the United States and invites them to participate in our organization by sharing their stories.

Each individual has a life story that is worthy of being told, and it is our hope that your heart may soften to find that there are people behind the prison walls who are just like you.

We are also dedicated to educating our readers on the current state of the criminal justice system, in hopes to bring to light the major flaws within and surrounding it that need to be reformed.
